Anna Arista was born into royalty on Cardota as a princess. She was adopted by the Lux family, as her family knew the inevitable end of the Hosianan system. She joined the resistance as a teenager. At 27 years old, she was involved in a battle with the Resistance and the First Order, with the Resistance ultimately retreating and the First Order winning. She was left behind, gravely injured.
Taken by Stormtroopers and was presented to General Hux, who ultimately told them to kill her. She offered to give information on the Resistance if she was given medical treatment and allowed to live. Hux agreed. She did end up giving him information and also agreed to work for the First Order.
She eventually rose to the rank of Lieutenant.
Eventually, she started to doubt the morality of her actions and started sending information to the Resistance, and was the spy within the First Order. Hux took the blame for her once he found out.

Annabelle Lux was born to two teenage parents who gave her up for adoption in 1989. She was adopted by the Lux family, consisting of Harrison Lux, her father, Eunji Lux, her mother, and Mark Lux.
Her parents, unfortunately, divorced when she was around 8 or 9.
Anna was diagnosed with autism and ADHD as a young child, which immediately made her different from her peers and a target for bullying.
Once she graduated from high school, she went to the University of Cincinnati for a PHD in astronomy. She finished school and started an internship at NASA before working there for 3 years.
She decided to go back to school at the age of 26. At the age of 29, she became an English teacher in Cincinnati before moving to Caldwell, New Jersey, and teaching at Grover Cleveland Middle School at age 32.
She was eventually recruited by Eva Stratt for Project Hail Mary, where she reconnected with fellow teacher Ryland Grace. After the astrophage explosion, she was ultimately sent alongside Ryland on the Hail Mary.

Adrian Chase was born on June 30, 1991, and was raised in Evergreen, Washington. At some point, his family was apparently killed, which drove him to become the happy-go-lucky sadist known as "Vigilante", donning a black, blue, and white costume to hide his identity. An expert in weapons and combat, Vigilante brutally murdered criminals for even minor offenses like graffiti and store their belongings in his secret lair beneath her mother's house, all in the name of justice.
Eventually, Vigilante met Peacemaker, a vainglorious vigilante who murdered criminals in the name of peace. Vigilante heavily idolized Peacemaker, and the two became friends, teaming up on several occasions along with Peacemaker's pet eagle Eagly, all while Vigilante kept his identity secret from Peacemaker to protect him.

adrian realized he was trans at a very young age. around 8 years old he started to dress in more boyish clothes and became a "tomboy" and quickly disliked oncoming puberty. in private he started telling his classmates to call him adrian in middle school. at age 18 he finally revealed to his parents that he was going as adrian, binding and seeking out gender-affirming therapy. his father then refused to see him as his son and his mother reluctantly agreed and kicked him out the house. he sought shelter at a long-time friend's house, sam. someone who had been calling him adrian for years. with her help he was able to get on testosterone.

Adopted by the Iplier family and sister to Markus Iplier, Anna Lux-Iplier became the District Attorney for a small city in California. She became friends with Damien Whitacre in law school and worked beside him while he was mayor.
When her brother was found murdered the morning after the party he threw at his cursed mansion, chaos ensued. During the chaos, a fight started between Abe and William. William ended up accidentally shooting Anna, who fell off the balcony and to the floor. This is where it is revealed that Mark killed himself and then used the entity within the manor to kill Damien and Celine and steal Damien's body. Anna agreed to let Celine and Damien use her physical form. The sight of Anna sitting up after being dead for hours drove William insane. This is when the entity trapped Anna within a mirror, Damien leaving with a physical form and trapping Anna. This is when Mark used the manor to spin different stories and universes where Anna played characters in Mark's stories.
